Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age: 1 tablet (25 mg) 3-4 times a day.
The maximum daily dose is 2 mg/kg b.w. In case of anaphylactic shock or acute and severe allergic reactions, treatment should begin with slow intravenous administration of the injection solution, after which it is possible to switch to intramuscular administration, followed, at the first opportunity, by oral administration.
In elderly patients (over 65 years old) and debilitated patients, the use of the drug requires special caution due to the manifestation of increased sensitivity to antihistamines in relation to their side effects.
In case of liver dysfunction, a dose reduction may be required due to a decrease in the metabolism of the active component of the drug in liver diseases.
In case of impaired renal function, it may be necessary to change the regimen of taking the drug and reduce the dose due to the fact that the active component is mainly excreted through the kidneys.
Duration of treatment
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of symptoms.
If Allergosan is ineffective in the first 2-3 days, it is necessary to consider using drugs from other groups.
