Lopedium offers effective relief for diarrhea symptoms when the underlying cause cannot be directly treated. Each capsule contains loperamide hydrochloride, providing convenient and targeted relief in a capsule form.

Composition:

• Each hard gelatin capsule contains 2 mg of loperamide hydrochloride.

Usage:

• For adults and children aged 6-17 years:
• Acute disorder: Start with 2 capsules for adults (equivalent to 4 mg of loperamide hydrochloride) and 1 capsule (2 mg) for children, followed by one capsule (2 mg) after each subsequent loose stool.
   
• Chronic diarrhea: Start with 2 capsules (4 mg) for adults and 1 capsule (2 mg) for children daily. Adjust the starting dose until reaching 1-2 hard stools per day, typically achieved with a maintenance dose of 1-6 capsules (2 mg to 12 mg) daily. The maximum dose is 8 capsules daily for adults (16 mg loperamide hydrochloride) and should not be exceeded. For children, adjust the dose according to body weight (3 capsules / 20 kg of body weight), not exceeding a maximum of 8 capsules per day.

Take capsules without chewing, with some liquid.

Discontinue Lopedium and consult a physician if there is no clinical improvement within 48 hours of starting treatment for acute diarrhea.

Do not use Lopedium for more than 4 weeks without medical supervision.
